Asst. Prof. Dr. Jintana Damkliang
Dr. Jintana has been working as a nurse educator at Adult and Elderly Department, Faculty of Nursing since 2006. Her area of expertise is emergency and trauma care. During her PhD at Deakin University, Melbourne, Australia, Jintana had experiences in presenting her research in a number of international conferences held in Australia, Singapore, Hong-Kong, Ireland, and Thailand. Jintana received an outstanding award for oral presentation at the 9th Biennial Joanna Briggs International Colloquium 2014, Singapore. Her research results from a PhD have been published in a variety of international nursing journals. From her publication, Jintana received a 2014 Deakin University Faculty of Health Publication Award. In 2015-2019, Jintana was an associate supervisor of a PhD student at School of Nursing and Midwifery, Deakin University. Recently, Jintana has been invited in reviewing manuscripts for Australasian Emergency Nursing Journal.

After completion of a PhD program, Jintana’s research is aimed at improving the quality of emergency and trauma care by increasing use of research evidence into nursing practice, ensuring effective nursing care providing to the patients, and also optimizing the patients’ outcomes. Since 2015, Jintana has been a member of Research Center for Prevention and Care for People in Emergency and Trauma, Faculty of Nursing, PSU. Jintana’s research projects have involved in different phases of care for emergency and trauma patients, including pre-hospital, in-hospital, and post-hospital care.

In an area of education, Jintana is responsible for teaching both Bachelor and Master nursing students. At a Bachelor level, Jintana has experiences in integration of research for nursing education in order to improve nursing students’ knowledge and skills. In 2011, Jintana and team conducted a quasi-experimental research design to improve nursing students’ knowledge and skills in suturing by using a Computer Assisted Instruction, and she received an outstanding oral presentation award at the International Conference, Phuket, Thailand. At a Master level, Jintana has supervised both Thai and international nursing students. Currently, Jintana is a chair of Master of Nursing Science in Adult and Gerontological Nursing.
